Job Responsibilities of a Lab Assistant:

  • This individual would be responsible for the daily performance of the duties associated with the Lab Assistant position, as well as the stewardship of ground-level processes.
  • Similar to the majority of other laboratory tasks, laboratory assistants utilize pipettes to perform manual sample processing.
  • Guarantee that the department maintains an optimal personnel level and that employees are deployed appropriately.

  • Conduct priming research by leveraging data management and information technology.
  • In conjunction with management, establish standard operating procedures (SOPs), method validations, workflow processes, data review, reporting templates, and quality control processes.
  • While conducting competency evaluations of laboratory assistants, guide their peers.
  • Please assist the manager in ensuring that all quality control (QC) data is satisfactory and that the laboratory assistants are adhering to the established QC protocols.
